10 Years of Atelier Lilac: A Decade of Sweetness, Craftsmanship and Adventure Between Sisters

A story that began 10 years ago, almost without him knowing it.

Ten years ago, in 2015, we launched our very first website.
At the time, Atelier Lilac was not yet a brand dedicated to weddings. We created hair accessories, guided by a common passion: to make things by hand, to imagine, to create, to start again.

The beginnings: a simple dream, a few gems and a €500 loan

Atelier Lilac, then called Lilac Accessoires, was born from a simple and almost innocent idea: the pleasure of creating beautiful things with one's hands.

Originally, it was a game between sisters. A space of freedom, a field of expression where we imagined the accessories we would have liked to wear ourselves.

Our beginnings were modest, supported above all by the confidence of our parents, who granted us a small family loan of €500. With that, we had the essentials: basic equipment, a camera lent by our mother, some packaging, and above all a handful of homemade creations, made with heart.

We were all at once: models, photographers, hairdressers, makeup artists. We did everything ourselves, spontaneously, without yet knowing it; this naturalness would later become our signature.

The first sales took place online, on A Little Market. And already, our headbands were finding their audience.

And then, almost naturally, the first requests arrived. More specific accessories, designed for particular hairstyles. Custom-made creations, conceived for unique moments. That's how, without having anticipated it, we began to make our first accessories for brides.

It took us a few months to understand, discover, and experience this world of marriage.
A world of rare sensitivity, made of delicacy, trust, and intense emotions.
A universe in which we fell in love.

The first emotions, forever etched in memory

The first order remains forever etched in our memories. A mixture of excitement, surprise, pride… and also fear. The fear of doing it wrong, the pressure of wanting to live up to expectations.

Then came the first photos of our brides. Images that moved us deeply. Tears sometimes, so strong was the emotion.

Seeing our creations worn on such an important day made us realize the immense responsibility entrusted to us. And above all, the immense privilege of participating in one of the most intense moments in these women's lives .

Slow but gentle growth, supported by family and friends

Atelier Lilac exists today primarily because we are two sisters who complement each other perfectly. We have always been an instinctive and close-knit team, where each of us naturally finds our place. Creativity has always been our common language, the one through which we understand each other best.

We were still studying, and once classes were over, we would meet at the workshop — often until late at night — to make, prepare and ship orders. It was intense, sometimes trying, but above all profoundly alive.

Years passed, and for a long time our daily life unfolded in a small shared apartment, which transformed each evening into an impromptu workshop. At that time, we weren't thinking about building a business. We created from the heart, driven by a passion that didn't feel like work, but rather like a creative refuge, a space of our own, between sisters.

This adventure has shaped us. Above all, it has brought us even closer together. Each step has been supported by kindness: that of our family, always there for us, that of friends who have supported us, and by a passion that has remained intact over the years.

Growing, structuring, learning

A major turning point in our adventure was the arrival of our first office, and then our very first workshop.
Until then, we worked from home, without any real structure, with days, and especially nights, at sometimes unreasonable hours. In peak season, we would sometimes still work well past 1 a.m.

Having a workshop changed everything.
This process gave us structure, reassured us, and allowed us to find a new balance. We gained clarity, serenity, and naturally, productivity. This step was essential, both professionally and personally.

Then our first collaborators arrived: Léa and Clara.
A pivotal decision, fraught with emotion… and doubt. We were afraid of not being up to the task, afraid of the responsibilities it entailed.

The anecdote is quite revealing of our state of mind at that time: we were supposed to recruit only one person, but we couldn't decide. So, once again, we decided to trust our intuition, and we recruited both of them.

Their motivation, commitment, and energy profoundly marked this stage of growth. They taught us as much as we learned from them. And for that, we will always be deeply grateful.

a close-knit, female, and caring team

Even today, our team is at the heart of everything.
A team of women united by gentleness, creativity and the same deep desire to do things well.

We cultivate a caring atmosphere, genuine friendship, a fully embraced feminine sensibility, and meticulous attention to detail every day. Each colleague, past and present, has left a precious mark on our history, and we are deeply grateful to them.

Today, Atelier Lilac is a vibrant place, driven by committed, attentive, and sensitive women. A workshop where we create, exchange ideas, and learn together, respecting each woman's pace and uniqueness.

We have never forgotten where we come from.
Nor the essential role of our family, our loved ones and our friends, who supported us at every stage, with their words, their presence, their gestures sometimes discreet, but always precious.

Without them, none of this would have been possible.

August 2025: Celebrating a decade of emotions at the Brasserie des Beaux-Arts

In August 2025, you brought together 7 people, the current team and former colleagues, to celebrate this decade.

The evening took place at La Brasserie des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, an elegant bistro with vintage charm, decorated for the occasion in a soft and poetic style.

A decoration designed as a tribute to your world

White tablecloths, scattered pearls, bouquets of white flowers, photos of the team through the years, a magnificent white bento cake, adorned with pearls and satin ribbons.

An intimate and moving atmosphere

Laughter, memories, anecdotes. Words from the heart. A toast to celebrate 10 years of work, doubts, successes and joy.

Attention to detail for each guest

You had planned for each one:

  • a jute bag from Atelier Lilac,
  • a pair of limited edition earrings,
  • a personalized thank you letter.
  • A gesture true to your identity: thoughtful, delicate, sincere.

Ten years of gratitude: team, family, friends… and especially our brides

This celebration was not just a party.
It was a way of saying thank you.

Thank you to your team

Past and present, each having contributed to writing a chapter of history.

Thank you to your family

For the beginnings, for the support, for the love.

Thank you to your friends

Those who helped, advised, and encouraged.

And above all, thank you to your brides.

Those who choose you for a unique moment.
Those who send you messages, photos, memories.
Those that allow you to make a living from your passion.

One last thank you, from behind the lens

And finally, a special word for our photographer Eva Sino , who perfectly captured the essence of the evening. The glances, the smiles, the details, and the silences too.
Thanks to your sensitive and attentive eye, these memories will live on, long after that August evening. Thank you for so tenderly capturing this precious moment in our history.
